Dan Padeanu
I'm Dan, a PhD candidate in the Shimizu group. I started my graduate studies at the University of Calgary in 2018, after completing my BSc at the University of Manitoba. I am passionate about discovering new carbon capture solutions using Metal-Organic Frameworks. My work revolves around synthesizing low-cost porous materials for carbon capture, with a specific focus on amorphous materials.
When not in the lab I'll be found in the mountains, busy backcountry skiing, rock climbing, or hiking.
